Who we are

My Caregiver is published by ORCAA. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Nothing you have to give us. You can read every page on this site without providing personal information. We do not operate enquiry or lead forms.
  • Standard technical information. Like most websites, our hosting records information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and reliability purposes.
  • Aggregate analytics. Where analytics are used, they are used to understand which guides are helpful and how the site performs — not to build profiles of individuals.
  • Anything you choose to send us. If you email us a correction or question, we hold that message so we can respond.

Cookies

We keep cookie use to a minimum. Any cookies set are used for essential site function or aggregate measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site is designed to work without them.

External links, including ORCAA Connect

When you follow a link to ORCAA Connect or any other external site, you leave My Caregiver and that site's own privacy policy applies. We do not pass your personal information to providers, and we do not sell or share reader contact details.

Third-party services we rely on

The site uses standard web hosting and may load web fonts from a third-party font service. These services may log technical request information as part of delivering content to your browser.

Storage and retention

We keep technical logs only as long as needed for security and operational purposes, and correspondence only as long as needed to deal with the matter it relates to.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a complaint about how we have handled it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

This site is written for adults arranging care. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
